Journal Policies
HJBHS policies are established to ensure the highest standards of integrity, scientific rigor, and ethical conduct in medical and health sciences publishing. These policies are developed in alignment with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). They govern all stages of the publication process, including manuscript submission, editorial evaluation, peer review, authorship and contributorship criteria, ethical approval for human and animal research, informed consent, clinical trial registration, plagiarism screening, data availability, and the disclosure and management of conflicts of interest. The policies are designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability, and to safeguard patient safety, research integrity, and public trust. In addition, the journal provides clear procedures for addressing post-publication issues, including corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions, in accordance with international best practices.
All journal policies are periodically reviewed and updated to ensure continued compliance with international publishing standards and best practices. Journal Policies — Last updated: December 2025.
